Art Crawford

The Lord called His servant Art Crawford home to be with Him on Sunday, February 14, 2016. We rejoice that his suffering is now ended and he is now face-to-face with his Lord, never again to sin against his Savior. Art was the pastor of Riverside Bible Church for 48 years, from its founding in 1962 until his retirement in 2010. He led verse-by-verse studies in both the Old and New Testaments, always centered on the Bible as the inerrant Word of our sovereign God. In addition, he taught Bible studies across the country.

Art graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in nuclear physics. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Art was a pioneer in the field of industrial vibration analysis and founded International Research and Development Corporation and Production Measurements Corporation. The last years of his professional career were spent as an international consultant on vibration problems, specializing in system resonances.

Art was born on July 25, 1923 in Wadsworth, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents Claud and Bessie; brother Wayne; sister Harriet Hone; and beloved wife June. Art is survived by his brother Claud; children Daniel (Sharon), Rebecca Pruden, David (Lynn), Elizabeth Lamkie (Ellery), and Stephen (Peggy); 9 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 4 great-grandchildren.
